Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she took flute lessons and the harpsichord over three years. The money she earned came from the student allowance, and relied in part-time jobs to increase her funds. Lennox was able to make a change in her career path when she was dissatisfied with her lack of skill in contrast to other Royal Academy students. Lennox became part of the group Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. She quit the band shortly before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. She was The singer for The Tourists from 1977 until 1980. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox then went on to record her debut solo album Diva. This came out in 1992. It was a huge success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album was released in the month of October 2014. was Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox picked her favorite blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera includes four keyboard improvised tracks. The E.P. is the companion album for her installation of art at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You Go... It is also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is a philanthropist, activist as well as a singer. After a brief recognition as part of the new wave band The Tourists in the late 1970s, Lennox and co-musician Dave Stewart went on to be recognized as the pop duo Eurythmics during the 1980s. Lennox's 1992 debut album Diva produced many successful songs, including Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is a studio album features covers of songs such as No More I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. The singer is acknowledged with seven studio albums by herself as well as a compilation.
